Pet Companions
Pet Companions 1.2.0 – Big update
New
- Now also for Minecraft 26.2 (separate download)
- Companions level up with you: a summoned companion gets the same experience you pick up, and you keep yours. "Give EXP" is now an optional boost, and the level curve is much flatter
- Resistances: companions learn to withstand rain, fire, drowning and freezing from the damage they take
- The Talent Seer has his own window with talents and resistance progress
- Villager companion: new trades every Minecraft day, with regional goods based on its look
- New villager: the Expedition Leader calls companions back from expeditions at once for emeralds. His workplace is the Expedition Camp
- New expedition area: Desert & Badlands. New pictures and sharper map art for all areas
- Sleeping through the night lets defeated companions recover at once
- New companion symbol in the top right (mode, cooldown, recovery), movable in the settings
- Bigger advancement tree with seven branches
- Locked companions show a faded hint of their head in the menu
- Command is now
/companions
Companions
- Stronger elder guardian (beam attack, +50 % damage underwater), axolotl, polar bear, chicken and turtle
- New twists instead of plain vanilla effects: dolphin leap, golem guard, piglin respect, frost paw, panda stun, ender escort
- Blaze: fire damage reduction and lava rescue instead of permanent Fire Resistance
Balance
- Seals 1–2 cost no XP levels, and seal XP is now paid from the bottom (much cheaper at high levels)
- Seal tributes scale with rarity, and many tasks need less luck and grind
- Unlocks fit the rarity better
- Training gives +2 % per point, and talent crystals are more reliable
- Expeditions: long trips are worth it, rare loot is better spread out
- Combat values adjusted by rarity, and recovery takes at most 10 min
- Water companions work at half strength on land
Fixes
- Closed many AFK and farming loopholes: self-placed blocks, self-dropped items, potions you didn't brew, AFK training
- Only the owner can trade with a villager companion
- Fireballs now hurt fire-immune mobs
- Abilities no longer anger neutral mobs
- Every defeated companion has its own recovery time
- The Talent Seer loses his profession right away when his altar is broken
- Players with a different mod version get a clear message instead of a connection error
